Onion


This is the most commonly used ingredient you will ever find in an Indian kitchen.
I cook it in different ways
  1. Gravy:
    For gravy making either you can make a paste of onion or use it directly by chopping.
    The key to cook it for gravy is to cook it on medium heat till onions turns brown or dark brown. Mash them.
  2. Stir Fry:
    Throw the chopped onions in the pan which is already on high heat with just as much oil to cover the pan. Start moving onions around for 30 sec the let them rest for another 30 sec and again start moving them. Repeat this process of 3o sec for 1 min 30 sec. While resting period you can add other ingredients too.
Bonus Tip: To avoid onions burning your eyes just wash them after removing their skin, simple no hassle of chewing gums or other chemical experiments.
